To all of you Mommas. (Get the tissues.)

25 weeks!

Hello All! Well I made it to 25 weeks! I feel like this is a milestone! For some reason that date has stuck out to me in my heart and mind! It sounds SO far along! 25 weeks! 6 months pregnant! Almost out of the 2nd trimester! YAHOO!

How much longer: 15 short weeks! Lord willing! Stay in there little babe!

Sleep: Sleeping is still good! I miss bellying sleeping, every time I flip over to my stomach the baby kicks me :-D So I'm trying not to do it as often.

Movement: daily!I love feeling the baby move! I flipped over to my stomach while I was waking up the other morning and got 4 swift kicks or punches! It made me giggle. It was so sweet... I LOVE feeling the baby move!!! I can't wait for Rory to feel it!!

Mamma thoughts: I'm feeling at a bit of a hault with belly growth, I tried to take a mirror pic and I feel like I look so tiny. My Sister ( who's birthday is this SATURDAY!) says I'm carrying low. But I know that doesn't really mean anything. It's a wives tale. So sometimes my belly feeling so small is maybe because the baby is facing my back, with it's back outward or stretched longways.

Addition Information: Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — 1 1/2 pounds — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

Boy oh Boy! Man oh man! Only 16 weeks till we meet our little one!

How long to go: 112 days!

How do I feel:
I feel pretty good for the most part! Still really hungry and come  on no wonder!  The baby gained 4 ounces this week ALONE. Thats a lot for such a little one.

Sleep:
Sleep has been good!

Momma thoughts:
Getting so excited  to start working on our Nursery! Our chair arrived today! That is the first big choice we've made to set the tone for the room and I can't wait for the rest to follow!

Mat clothes:
rocking em and loving em! I need more bottoms, like shorts and capris or skirts. I have a few dresses that i love so that will help as it gets closer to summer!

Additional info: Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at about 1 1/3 pounds. Since he's almost a foot long (about the size of an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.
It's getting so real over here!

The Mom blogs I love most! lots o links

I know I've mentioned at least one of these babes before, but I have to post about them! Three Mom's I check up on daily. I love these gals for different reasons, and I'm VERY pick when I pick to read a blog, especially on mothering and being a woman and wife. Just to buffer these, I doubt i'll ever find a blogger I agree with %100, but for the most part each of these woman have won my heart for different reasons. Here's why! :-)

Joanna Goddard: This gal is a usually a very fun read! Lots of suggestions and fun links to other things she finds interesting, helpful, hilarious online. She also "tours" houses all over the US of women who she admires and respects, in design and lifestyle! I love the house tours! She is a gentle loving Mother and Wife to her hubby Alex and boys Anton and Toby. She is a working Mom who has a good balance in her life. I respect that a lot and find a lot of life/momma motivation from her. I value her and would love to, like I said before, sit and have a glass of wine with her!

Next up!

Kelsey Williams: I've learned about myself in the last few years, that when someone "bows me up" or annoys me, I usually end up loving that person later! I've had a few moments like that when reading this blog. What was really going on is that my small closed mind was being challenged and opened. I realize that now and appreciate her so much more. I LOVEEEE Kelsey's honesty, and how well she knows herself and the things she wants in life. I get a lot of inspiration from her for her design and d.i.y.'s, her parenting style and tips are so sweet and helpful too! I love her simple clean style and a lot of what I do on my blog and in my home reflect her style. I love her pregnancy updates too!

And last but not least:

Naomi Davis: This sweet NYC Momma is a doll. And come on now, a family that Birks together, stays together! She and her hubby Josh are passionate about travel! I love this, other then passing the legacy of our faith to our children, travel is the 2nd biggest gift we want to give to our littles. We value seeing the world a lot and think it is worth every penny! So seeing her making it a priority too is awesome! PS: They love the Mexico like we do! Yay palm trees and beaches!
I love her outlook on life, she's a very positive person and always tries to keep that outlook, but she's also honest and isn't naive. She loves her babies so much. It's so sweet. She is SUCH a fun Momma too! I value that!

Hope you find inspiration from these betties, they're all gorgeous and shine brightly.

23 weeks!

How far along: 23 wks

How much more to go: 17 weeks! 118 days to go!

How do I feel: I've been telling everyone the same thing: HUNGRY! Hah, this babe is growing!

Sleep: pretty good all around!

Cravings: JALAPENO'S!!! Can't get enough of these spicy lil things. We made stuffed baked jalapeno's a few days back and I've made a trip to Jack in the box, for poppers recently. because YUM.

Maternity clothes: loving my maternity clothes!

Movement: I'm feeling this sweetie daily now! It's so wonderful!! I look forward every day to feeling those little kicks and flutters. I'm learning, my app tells me, my baby's sleep patterns! Baby R is starting to form patterns and habits in their sleep, and I will start to learn those by sensing their movements ( wake time) and no movements ( most likely sleeping)
In that theory, the baby loves to be awake early mornings, noon-ish, and evenings.

Weight: same as last, gained 5-7 lbs total

Mamma thoughts: felt a little overwhelmed yesterday when we were out to dinner and pretty emotional when thinking about being a Mamma, and not in a positive way. it is a very overwhelming thought, thinking about caring for a baby, and not really knowing what to do. I know we're going to develop out own patterns and ways, and learn what our baby needs most, but I really want to set patterns as soon as possible as far as sleep and eating goes. This post really encouraged me! Kelsey is one of my favorites!

Additional info: Turn on some tunes and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about the size of a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

22 weeks!

Hello my blog friends!
Sorry for the later than normal post.

How Far Along: 22wks and 3 days as i write.

How long to go: 123 more days to go!

How do I feel: really good actually! I feel the weight of the baby in my uterus for sure, I've described it as an " empty weighty feeling" in my lower stomach.

Maternity Clothes: LOVE my maternity clothes, what a joy it is to wear stretchy shorts, pants and tops! I am still using the Rubber Band trick on most of my jeans and shorts, but it's becoming less and less comfortable.

Sleep: I sleep pretty well and have most of the same issues I was having the last few weeks, position and waking up a bit earlier then I'd like.

Mama Thoughts: I am loving feeling the baby move and kick every so often!!! I want MORE baby! You hear that?! I'm learning the baby's sleep/ wake patterns too! I love this!

Weight Gain:  still only about 7lbs so far!

21 weeks!

sorry for the lame mirror pics :-)

How far along/ How far to go: 21 weeks along, 19 to go! The countdown begins.

How do I feel: These last few weeks I've felt pretty great. Nothing to complain about, my voice is 99% back and my congestion is almost gone! PTL

Sleep: besides waking up in the very early morning and having a hard time falling back asleep, I am sleeping well. I've found it harder to get comfortable as this baby & belly grow. I'm still sleeping on my stomach, but I know that won't last long.

Maternity Clothes: As seen above, i'm wearing all maternity clothes for the most part. I have a few pre-pregnancy bottoms and tops I can wear, but they're pretty uncomfortable.

Mamma thoughts: Feeling so much love and excitement to meet our little one! I can truly not wait to be a Mamma and hold my babe for the first time. I'm imagining that time when the pushing is all over and they hand me my baby... swoon, does it get better? Seeing the look on Rory's face as He sees His baby for the first time. I think my heart will burst.

Weight gain: I'm hovering at about 5-7lbs gained, which is a few lbs below where I should be, which is a okay because I started out heavier then I would have liked. My goal is to gain no more then 20lbs. With a little over 4 months left, I am praying I can stay within that goal.

Additional Info: Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — about the size of a large garden carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now
