29 weeks!!!

How far along: 29 weeks!

How long to go: only 11 weeks! NUTS! I don't think it's going to really sink in till they place that baby on my chest.

Nursery: It's really coming together! We have our crib, changing table, rocker glider recliner, Moses basket, and an armoire for baby's clothes. It's becoming so real seeing those tiny diapers on the changing table.

Sleep: not bad, sleeping pretty good. Baby always kicks when I lay down at night, and if I get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, the baby is SO active when I lay back down.

Mama thoughts: counting kicks is so enjoyable. Rory got to feel about 5 kicks in a row the other night when I laid down for bed, and I LOVE that!!
On another note: my appetite is almost entirely gone! :-( not a lot of room in there. The heat has also been a factor, I tend not to be very hungry when it's hot.

How I feel: feeling really good this week, just normal growing baby aches and pains. Round ligament pain is dominate in the lower half of my belly when I get up too fast from laying or sitting, and if I walk too vigorously. But feeling a lot better this week than last. Everyday is different :-) I am so grateful I work, it keeps me up and motivated and sleeping well. I will continue to work till I can't.

Additional Information: At 29 weeks pregnant, your baby weighs nearly three pounds now and measures about 17 inches. Though she's getting pretty close to her birth length, she still has to chub out a bit. In fact, over the next 11 weeks, she'll more than double — or even come close to tripling — her weight. As more fat is deposited under the skin surface, her wrinkled skin is smoothing out.

Why hello there third trimester!! 28 weeks!!

How far along: 28 weeks!!! Third trimester!!

How long to go: only 12 more weeks!

How do I feel: This week has been a tough one!! I'm really feeling the weight of the baby, and at work my belly is sore after being on my feet all evening, sitting down is a God-sent! I haven't been sleeping very well, but i'll explain that more in the section below. It's been a tough week needless to say. Thank God for my husband, what a blessing He is, with late night foot and back rubs! I don't know how some women do this alone... God bless & keep them!

Birth Plan: My Momma is here from out of state right now, so we had to make an appointment with my Doula! My Mom was very impressed! I'm so happy we got to sit and chat for a few hours with her. We went over questions I had about my birth plan. I'm feeling more and more confident about what I want, but keeping an open mind, knowing things rarely work out the way we want them to :-) God knows what I need and what I can handle.

Sleep: rough rough. I went from sleeping like a pro, to having a really hard sleep week. I don't think this will become a habit, i just had some bad stomach aches and trying to find a comfortable position has been hard too. Last night I slept perfectly fine, PTL, so I'm hoping i go back into my normal pattern of sleep!

Movement: Rory got to feel the baby a few days ago!! He was so thrilled He let out this goofy little giggle and it startled the baby, so it stopped kicking :-) Movement is very common at night, when I finally settle down.

Additional Info: My Dr. is ,asking that I do ultrasounds every few weeks to track the babies growth, until 34 weeks because I'm measuring bigger, which is no surprise because of my pre baby belly, but He just wants to make sure the baby is growing normally so, I surprised my Mom with a trip to Kaiser for an ultrasound!! It was lovely, but very anticlimactic. The baby wasn't very ready for it's close-up. Little one did move quite a bit while she was trying to get the angles she needed.

Good profile shot of our little bugger <3

Nursery: We got out CRIB!!!! I'm in LOVE!
Here's Mr. Rory setting it up! We'll put it in the nursery along with a few other goodies we've received once my Mom takes off and we can move the queen bed out. My baby shower is next month, so we'll be nice and ready for baby by then! Then just two more months till our big day!

By this week, your baby weighs 2 1/4 pounds (about the size of a large eggplant) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can open and close her eyes, which now sport lashes. This movement is more of a reflexive blink than a deliberate opening and closing, but it won't be long before she's batting those beauties at you.

27 weeks!

How far along: 27 weeks, only 90 days to go! only 13 weeks to go!

Weight gain: 17 lbs

Sleep: fairly normal and good! I'm sleeping through the night and getting plenty of sleep! naps haven't been very frequent these last few days, which is interesting, I swear I napped more pre pregnant than I have my entire pregnancy. odd :-)

How do I feel: I'd have to say that this has been one of the best weeks as far as how I'm feeling goes. I feel almost completely my " Pre-pregnancy" self, besides the belly and baby movement. I am sleeping really well, my appetite is normal, and I have a lot of energy ; I am not half as tired as I was last week. So that's great!

Nursery: We are not going to end up getting the crib from my Mom's bosses, so that's a bit of a bummer. We will most likely get a crib from Ikea or diapers.com, they have a lot of cute, inexpensive cribs. We are deciding on a mini crib or a transitional crib, weighing the pros and cons of both. We'll keep you updated on our choices.

Mama thoughts: Had a doctors appointment Monday and got my test results from recent blood work and my glucose test. Everything result was perfect. I was a " Stone cold negative" on my glucose test, as my doctor stated :-) and my iron levels are perfect. I'm happy to get that report! And as far as my weight gain, I'm not surprised at ALL. the last few weeks I've been so hungry. And my hunger totally stopped a few days ago, so now I'm back to my normal eating patterns and appetites!
Hopefully my weight stays pretty much the same, the rest of it, as this is the most weight I wanted to gain. Pray! :-)

*Birth Plan*: (New section!) This is a new topic in Rory and I's conversations and in my mind. I'm using a pre made template for my birth plan and am also writing a hospital check list, a few ideas from respected Mamma's and some from a book. Our current topic as far as the birth plan goes, is whether or not to send the baby to the nursery whatever nights we spend in the hospital. We are again weighing pros and cons and getting advice on this. Since sleep is a goal for our family as we venture into this new journey, I'm leaning towards sending the baby to the nursery. I'm also going to meet with my doula Rebekah and go over the other details of our birth plan, the things I just don't understand because this is such a experience for us!

Maternity clothes: I unfortunately had to return 3/5 of the items I recently purchased from Old Navy maternity, they were HUGE! I purchased them in my normal size, and was astounded at how I floated in them. Old Navy maternity is not true to size, but any means. It was a bit of a hassle returning the items, but O.N. makes it pretty painless. Just had to make a few trips to the P.O.

Movement: Is so enjoyable and I look forward to it daily. A few days ago I hadn't noticed a lot of movement and it concerned me a little but not too much. I text my sister and looked up online what other women had to say and felt peace. Sugar usually makes the baby move big time and after a soda and candy bar the baby moved again and made my day.

Additional information: This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (about the size of a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

26 weeks!

What a little sun does! Geez! So glad I'm having a summer baby! I'm so pasty and yuck in the winter :-)

How Far Along: 26 weeks! 6 months pregnant! Feels so good to say that! My due date is 3 months and 6 days a way!!! yahoo!!

How Long to go: 98 days! 14 weeks!

How I'm feeling: sleepy :-) the other day i took two naps! TWO! And I've been sleeping in as much as possible! Besides all of that, I feel great! No symptoms except the pain in my right wrist has returned at night, but I wear a wrist brace which helps a lot.

Momma thoughts: I'm anxious to get the nursery set up! We were hoping to get a crib from my Mom's current boss, a nanny job she's working in SF, but that whole thing fell through. So we're going to have to start looking a little more seriously for the crib now. I think we'll end up going with an Ikea crib since they're so inexpensive and very chic.

I had my glucose screening test today at Kaiser. The whole process was seamless, except I just got a call from the lab tech who put some of my drawn blood in the wrong colored tube.... So now I need to go back and get one more tube of blood draw. Smack my head. I don't mind getting the blood draw but it's frustrating I have to drive all the way back to Kaiser!
-_-
oh well!

Movement: I love feeling the baby move everyday!! I am still anxious for Rory to experience it!

Sleep: lots of tossing and turning since sleeping on my stomach is no longer a comfortable option, but for the most part I feel well rested when I wake up. Coffee helps :-)

Maternity Clothes: These babies just litterally arrived at my door just minutes ago! Thanks Fed Ex! So I'm excited to start wearing them! The bottoms are all maternity, and the top I ordered in a size up, I couldn't pass up on that tank! Only $10!!! If you follow me on instagram  then you'd know the awesome steal these clothes were! I went to www.retailmenot.com just as I was checking out on www.OldNavy.com and got a code for 35% OFF! SCORE!

Additional Information: The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about 1 2/3 pounds and measures 14 inches (about the size of a scallion) from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles should soon begin to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take two to three months.
